Angel Christmas Cards
- same Christmas greetings
two different look

These angel Christmas cards are made using the same angel rubber stamp but with different kind of cardmaking supplies.

The first angel Christmas greeting card is created on a piece of kraft cardstock and using PRISMACOLOR colored pencils while the one right below is colored in with MEMENTO colored markers.

Card Making Tools and Supplies

  • celestial heart rubber stamp by Penny Black
  • rubber stamp messages: "joy & peace to you" by Hero Arts
  • kraft blank folded card
  • scrapbooking designer paper
  • white colored pigment ink pad
  • white embossing powder
  • double-sided tape
  • colored pencils
  • heat gun
  • trimmer
  • corner rounder punch

Card Making Instructions

  • Cut the kraft card to the right size, score and fold to make a blank folded card.
  • Ink celestial heart (angel blowing trumpet) rubber stamp with white pigment ink and stamp on the front of the folded card.
  • Pour white embossing powder over the stamped image and melt powder with the heat gun.
  • Stamp the Christmas greetings, "joy and peace to you" with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
  • Cut a thin strip of red colored paper.
  • Cut scrapbooking designer paper into a 3/4" width strip and the same length as the kraft card.
  • Use double-sided tape to attach the red strip of paper as well as the designer paper strip to the bottom of the card.
  • Refer to the image above.
  • Color the image with colored paper.
  • Remember to use a gray color pencil to shade in shadow on the Christmas greetings as well as on the image.
  • Use a corner punch to round the two corners at the bottom of the card.

  • dark orange-yellow blank folded card - refer to color swatch below
  • deep purple cardstock - 1.5" wide strip
  • white colored cardstock
  • white colored pigment ink pad
  • white embossing powder
  • black color inkpad - I used Memento by Tsukineko
  • double-sided foam tape
  • glue or double-sided tape
  • water and watercolor brush
  • Memento color markers
  • heat gun
  • trimmer
  • scrissors
  • glitter glue

Card Making Instructions

  • Cut the dark orange-yellow card to the right size, score and fold to make a blank folded card.
  • Cut and glue deep purple strip on the front of card.
  • Stamp the Christmas greetings, "joy and peace to you" with white pigment ink on the left of deep purple strip.
  • Embossed with white embossing powder.
  • Ink celestial heart (angel blowing trumpet) rubber stamp with black ink and stamp on the white cardstock.
  • Color with markers.
  • Trim around the stamped image.
  • Use double-sided foam tape to attach left of deep purple strip right of message.
  • Refer to the image above.
  • Add glitter glue to stars on the clothes of angel.


Tips: Make a color palette using color markers - choose the colors you want to use and paint on a white color plastic board. Pick up each color with a not-too-wet brush to color your stamped image.


That's it! Two angel christmas cards done using 1 angel rubber stamp image. Using the same image and message yet getting two entirely different look.

This is really fun. Challenge yourself! Use any christmas rubber stamp you have in your collection and try to make different handmade christmas cards with the same stamp.
